sudoku.ie is Ireland’s daily sudoku: one good puzzle a day, free, for everyone in the country.

Every morning there is a new puzzle waiting, the same one for everybody. You might do it with your first cup of tea, on the DART, or over lunch. Then you can see how your time compares with the rest of the country, or with the family group chat.

sudoku.ie is made in Ireland. The daily puzzle changes at midnight Irish time, and the week follows a steady rhythm: an easy start on Monday, a proper challenge on Saturday, and something gentler for Sunday.

Free, with no account

Every puzzle is free to play. You do not need an account, and you do not need to give us your name or email address. Your progress and streaks are kept in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Good puzzles

We care about the quality of every grid. Each puzzle has exactly one solution, and you can always reach it by reasoning alone, with no guessing.

Each puzzle is graded by the hardest technique needed to solve it, not by how many digits are given at the start. That means an Easy puzzle really is easy, and an Expert puzzle needs expert techniques. If you want to learn those techniques, our Learn section explains each one in plain English, and the hint button will show you the next step whenever you are stuck.

For everyone

sudoku.ie is for casual players and keen ones, for grandparents and grandchildren, for teachers and their classes. You will find large-print printables, smaller puzzles for children, and a solver for when a newspaper puzzle has you beaten.
